Districts without an SIS integration can upload user accounts via CSV in Accounts > Upload Accounts — if you use PowerSchool, Skyward, Veracross, or another SIS sync, do not use this tab, as it can cause data conflicts or accidental deletions.
💡Quick answers
- Who should use the Upload Accounts tab? Only districts not using an SIS integration — if you use PowerSchool, Skyward, Veracross, or similar, your accounts sync automatically and manual uploads can cause conflicts.
- What file format is required? A CSV or tab-delimited file with a header row, First Name, and Last Name fields — use the Download Template link for a starting file.
- What does "Remove accounts not in file" do? Deletes existing accounts not included in the uploaded file — use with caution, and contact CE Support if unsure about your setup.

⚠️ Important Note
SIS integrations: If your school uses an SIS integration (like PowerSchool, Skyward, or Veracross), you should not use the Upload accounts tab. Your data is submitted dynamically or syncs daily via scheduled imports.
Risk of deletion: Attempting to manually import or upload accounts on your own can lead to data conflicts or accidental account deletion.
Unsure of your setup? If you are uncertain about how your organization's accounts are configured, please reach out to Community Engagement support for guidance before taking any action.
Don't want to upload from your SIS? No problem!
Districts can now manage their accounts via uploaded .CSV files. This enhancement allows for districts that do not upload files directly from a Student Information System (SIS) to upload information to the Community Engagement solution.
